Desert Sculptors Association Inc. was founded in 1986 and has nearly 100 members creating sculptors in various medias.

The Desert Sculptors Association was founded in 1986 by three local sculptors, John Kane, John Stockman and John Benton. Their vision was to promote sculpture and create a venue where local artists could gather and share artistic ideas.

Today with nearly 100 members, the group has left their mark on Las Vegas and the surrounding area with prestigious landmarks at Hoover Dam, Nellis Air Force Base, the Southern Nevada Veterans' Cemetery in Boulder City, Fireman's Memorial Park and Lorenzi Park.

Many member sculptors participate in local and national art exhibits including the Loveland Sculpture Invitational, the largest sculpture show in the United States.

Desert Sculptors work in many medias including bronze, wood, metal, stone, clay, glass, porcelain, plastic, as well as mixed medias. At monthly meetings the sculptors share their knowledge and expertise of processes, methods and vendors.

Come and join our association and let the Desert Sculptors take you into the magnificent world of sculpture.
